The response from the web server will also go through the VPN server and to your computer. Hence the third person will see VPN server's IP address as your IP address and you will be hidden from the internet.

The web request will look like the requests made from the VPN server. This is why some blocked websites in India are accessible when we connected to VPN server at US or any other country other than India.
